2024 Training Schedule
Rhoades to Recovery developed this training for the Behavioral Health Workforce in response to increasing challenges in the BH workplace. This 4-hour training provides an understanding of what may “trigger/activate” individuals from a trauma perspective and offers hands on skills to prevent these events as well as trauma-responsive ways to de-escalate individuals who are escalating. We welcome all Behavioral Health workers as well as Peer Professionals to attend this training.
Participants who attend this training will be able to:
1. Explain how a Trauma-Informed lens helps us understand escalated behavior.
2. Describe and apply de-escalation strategies and communication techniques.
3. Be able to identify the impact of escalation events on staff.
4. Identify follow-up practices that promote safety and wellness.
