CCAR’s Recovery Coach Academy© Training

 30 hours

This training is facilitated live or virtually via Zoom.  Deb Rhoades and a co-facilitator will deliver this 30 hour training. For Zoom trainings, participants must have access to both audio and video connection and must fully participate.

This Rhoades to Recovery Training is approved through 4/2024 by ASAP-NYCB for CRPA (CRPA-P) and CARC Initial Certifications. It is also approved by NYS OASAS for CASAC, CPP and CPS Renewal Hours.  Social Work Continuing Education hours are available upon request.

CCAR’s Recovery Coach Academy© is a 5-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs. This training prepares participants by helping them to actively listen, ask good questions, and discover and manage their own stuff.

Participants attending this training will be able to:

1. Describe Recovery Coach roles and functions
2. List the core values and guiding principles of recovery
3. Build skills to enhance relationships, understand the stages of change and the stages of recovery
4. Explore attitudes about self-disclosure, increase awareness of culture, power and privilege
5. Obtain experience in recovery wellness planning and practice newly acquired skills.
